전방과 후방에 달린 C, L 밴드 수신 안테나는 셰도우, 헌터, 파이오니어, I-Gnat, 레이븐 등의 무인기로부터 정보를 수신하여 내부의 디스플레이에 보여줌으로서 지휘관이 더욱 상세한 상황인식을 할 수 있도록 도와줍니다.
그리고 지휘관과 참모들이 예하 부대의 상황을 정확하게 이해하면서 상부및 인근 부대와 더욱 긴밀하게 협조하면서 지휘를 할 수 있도록 도와줍니다.
ps. 개인적인 의견-헬기에서 지휘관이 상황을 인식한다고 하지만 과연 그 상황인식의 정도가 작전을 펼치는 소부대의 상황인식과 과연 어느정도 공유될 것인가.(임무형 지휘원칙에 심각하게 위배되지는 않는가)
C and L Multi-band antenna is designed to receive Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV), Pioneer, Hunter, I-Gnat, Raven and Warrior UAV's. Mounted on the UH-60 Tail boom and front avionics cover they transfer the received UAV signal to the A2C2S display stations. This innovative integrated approach to UAV reception improves the Air Mission Commanders situational awareness and provides an additional set of eyes on target areas.
An operator begins the start up procedures for the Army Airborne Command and Control Systems (A2C2S). Once the system is activated the A2C2S will allow the Commander and key staff personnel the ability to command and control subordinate units, maintain battlefield awareness and coordinate with higher and adjacent units. The A2C2S aircraft provides an innovative platform for the 25th CAB to leverage against the rapid and dangerous battlefields of Multi-National Division-North.
