미공군 제16 특수작전비행대에 도착한 CV-22 Osprey

지난 16일 미공군 특수작전사령부의 제 16 특수작전비행대로 새롭게 탄생하는 CV-22 Osprey가 플로리다 Hurlburt Field 에 도착하여 공개행사를 펼치는 장면입니다.
이 기념식은 Hurlburt Field's Heritage to Horizon라고 하는데, 어떤 의미를 갖는지는 잘 모르겠습니다. 아래 원문을 참조삼아 덧붙입니다.
Heritage to Horizons
Hurlburt Field's Heritage to Horizons celebration will take place here on Nov. 16. The event will celebrate the Air Force's 60th Anniversary by reflecting on the remarkable heritage of the Air Commandos, reaffirming our commitment to the Global War on Terrorism and resolving to continually expand our capabilities.
The event will kick off with a special operations forces airpower demonstration, which will conclude with the ceremonial arrival of Air Force Special Operations Command's first CV-22 Osprey. After the CV-22 arrival ceremony, AFSOC leadership along with Hurlburt Field Airmen will cut a birthday cake commemorating the Air Force's 60th birthday. The day will come to a close when the 16th Special Operations Wing is officially redesignated as the 1st Special Operations Wing in a ceremony at the Air Park.
CV-22의 도착을 알리는 기념식에는 특수전에 운용되었던 MH-53J Pave Lows기에 공중급유를 펼치는 MC-130P 모습도 볼 수 있었습니다.또한 이부대가 운용하는 MI-17(MI-8)을 이용하여 구조시범도 실시되었습니다.
Hurlburt Field 공군기지는 처음으로 CV-22를 운용하는 공군기지가 됩니다.
