간만에 사진 올리네요.
Victory over Japan. 뜻 깊은 날입니다.
첫번째 사진의 원래 제목은 "VJ Day in Times Square."
제가 초등학교 때 외할아버지 댁에 있던 Life지에서 본 저 사진이 뇌리에 깊이 남아서 찾아봤습니다.
작가 왈 “I was walking through the crowds on V-J Day, looking for pictures. I noticed a sailor coming my way. He was grabbing every female he could find and kissing them all – young girls and old ladies alike… The sailor came along, grabbed the nurse, and bent down to kiss her. Now if this girl hadn’t been a nurse, if she’d been dressed in dark clothes, I wouldn’t have had a picture. People tell me that when I’m in heaven, they will remember this picture.”
나중에 저 주인공이 자기라고 많은 사람들이 주장했죠.
