걸프전에 소개된 에피소드 중에는 한 병사가 사막에 진지를 구축하려니 모래입자가 고와서 모래 주머니에서 줄줄 새고 폴을 박기 위해 지급된 망치가 너무 쉽게 부러진다고 부모한테 편지를 보냈는데, 그 부모가 당장 국방부에 전화를 걸어 이야기를 했고 국방성에서는 바로 개선된 망치와 모래주머니를 지급했다는.. 게 기억나는군요.

10여년전 걸프전사진이지만 샆질만큼은 변하지않는군요..사진잘봤습니다..

인분을 태우는 것으로 사료됩니다. 월남전 당시 간이 화장실의 인분을 저런 식으로 휘발류를 섞어서(다른 인화성 물질일 수도 있구요) 태운 것으로 압니다. TV드라마 '머나먼 정글'에서 군기빠진 병사들에게 저 일을 시켰던 것으로 기억합니다.
