1. The Arabian Gulf (Mar. 21, 2003) - The guided missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67) fires a Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) in the continuing support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
2. A RIM-7 NATO Sea Sparrow surface-to-air missile launches from aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during a live fire missile exercise. The missile scored a direct hit on an A/B 37U Tactical Air Launched Decoy (TALD) launched from an S-3B Viking assigned to the "Blue Wolves" of Sea Control Squadron Three Five (VS-35). The Sea Sparrow is used aboard Naval ships as a surface-to-air anti-missile defense system.
3. The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) performs an early morning Pre-Aim Calibration Fire (PACFIRE) on the Phalanx Close in Weapons System (CWIS).
4. The guided missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) conducts a Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) live fire test. Drakegoodman was given a tour of this ship in the late 90's when it visited Melbourne, Australia.
5. San Diego, Calif. (5.1.2005) - The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) departs Naval Air Station North Island, Calif., for her new homeport of Bremerton, Wash.
