The agreement for two Arrius 2G2 engines delivery to Kamov Company was signed in April,2002. The items were supplied from France at 2003 year-end , after that the procedures on new engines installation and testing on the aircraft destined to be reequipped have been followed. Each engine power rating is about 670 shp ensuring enhanced flight performances. Thus the service ceiling is close to 7,000 m, that makes possible the helicopter efficient operation in mountainous area. The Ka-226 helicopter version would have a great appeal for Customers from countries of hot and mountain climate.
According to agreement concluded the serial production of Arrius 2G2 engines designed for the Ka-226 and Ka-115 helicopters might be launched by NPO ¡°Saturn¡± (Rybinsk).
