1. CVNX-
he CVNX, a 21st century aircraft carrier, is being designed to take advantage of maturing technologies that not only enhance warfighting capabilities but also provide opportunities to reduce life cycle costs.

A flight deck redesign and a transition to an advanced aircraft recovery system (AARS) will reduce crew workload, enhance safety and reduce the costs of operating and maintaining the CVNX throughout its 50-year life.

The CVNX¡¯s new design incorporates state-of-the-art technologies including a new propulsion plant, smart sensors, and an improved and powerful electrical system. Additionally, its architectural design allows for maturing technologies to be integrated

2. SeaFox-
The16-foot SeaFox, originally developed to train helicopter gunners, has been modified through ONR¡¯s S&T program to provide force-protection capabilities for patrolling ships and portside installations.

RoboLobster-

RoboLobster can easily move from sea to land demonstrating that biomimetics and robotics research holds great potential for naval reconnaissance and surveillance, mine detection, fire control, stress detection, reactor inspections, and search and rescue.

Robotic crawlers allowed military personnel to safely search caves in the Zabol Province of Afghanistan for suspected Taliban and weapon caches. Continuing bomimetics and robotics research holds great potential for naval reconnaissance and surveillance, mine detection, fire control, and search and rescue.
