Designated as a 'Geleide Wapenfregat' (Frigate with Guided Weapons) of the 'Tromp Class' the F-806 was one of the most modern warships in the Dutch Navy equipped with a large 3D Radar Dome and the first ship of this name to carry Guided Weapons. She formed the core of a Dutch escort group and provided Command and Airdefense for the taskforce.She assisted in numerous NATO actions, including the Allied Actions against Yugoslavia. She was decommissioned in 2001.
