 of accident were that aircraft suffered in-flight fire in
 environmental control system compartment which caused failure of main
 hydraulic system and loss of almost all flight-related electrical systems as
 well as smoke entering cockpit. Aircraft was successfully landed on USS
 Theodore Roosevelt at second attempt , but nose and starboard main
 undercarriages collapsed on touchdown and starboard wing tank caught fire.
 Both crew escaped successfully.

예를들어 최후생산기인 S-3 BuNo 160607은 NASA에서 운용중이네요

해군이 저 기체들중 VX-30, NASA, 박물관에 전시된 기체를 제외한 상태 양호한 기체를 도입한다는 것인데

대충 훓어보니 S-3중 S-3A는 90년대 초반에 대부분 퇴역, AMARC에 보관되었고

(냉전의 영향이 있는듯 합니다... 대충 20년도 운용하지 않은 기체일텐데...)

S-3A중 B형이나 ES-3A로 개수된 기체는 그 후 10년 이상 운용되다가 2000년대 초반에 AMARC에 보관되었군요

해군이 말하는 상태가 양호한 기체가 어떤 기체인지 모르겠지만, 업그레이드가 되었으나 노후화된 S-3B나

업그레이드는 이루어지지 않았어도 상태가 비교적 양호할 S-3A 중 하나겠군요

나중에 바이킹 도입되면 BuNo 찾아서 사고기록등등 있는지 확인해보는것도 재밌을것 같습니다

해군에서 BuNo를 공개안한다고 해도 미국에 있는 양덕들이 S-3가 AMARC를 벗어나는 사진부터 시작해서

BuNo까지 다 까발리겠죠... 북한도 왠만큼은 다 파악하겠군요
