No. 4 Squadron Combat Controller intake students are put through their paces in the sand dunes on Stockton Beach.
Physical conditioning and teamwork sessions form an important component of Combat Controller initial training, and prepare personnel for Commando training at Special Forces Training Centre. The sessions are conducted at a lower intensity and duration than those the applicants will experience in later training, helping to identify and improve strengths and weaknesses, while also providing a useful teamwork and bonding opportunity.
