PAK FA made the first long flight
Fifth-generation fighter T-50 PAK FA first performed a long flight from Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Zhukovsky near Moscow. This in his microblog on Twitter on Thursday, January 17, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
According to Rogozin, the aircraft is equipped with almost the full avionics and surveillance and attack systems. January 16 , "Interfax" referring to a source in the aviation industry said that the fourth flight model aircraft (T-50-4) flew in from KnAAPO Gromov Flight Research Institute to continue testing.
Komsomolsk-on-Amur to Zhukovsky T-50-4 piloted by distinguished test pilot, Hero of Russia Sergey Bogdan. He's 12 December 2012 raised a fourth PAK FA in the air.
According to Rogozin, on the way from KnAAPO T-50-4 made two landings - Abakan and Chelyabinsk. Distance from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to Zhukovsky - over 8,000 kilometers. However, Rogozin wrote that the PAK FA crossed 7000 kilometers.
The first three experienced fighter of the fifth generation (T-50-1, -2 and -3) in Zhukovsky delivered cargo aircraft.
Now in Komsomolsk-on-Amur completed construction of the fifth prototype of the PAK FA. Flight tests of the fighter, presumably, will begin in March 2013. Fully flight tests of T-50 must be completed within 2-2.5 years. Series production of fighters scheduled to begin in 2015 or early 2016. Then the aircraft will begin to enter the Air Force.
