미국의 경우에도 일부 국가에는 장성급이 무관으로 나갑니다. 대체적으로 대령급 내지 준장급이 미국에서는 국방무관으로 배치되고 있습니다. (주한미국대사관국방무관의 경우 대령급입니다.)
우리나라도 현재는 대령급에서 준장급이 나가고 있는 실정입니다. 사실 소장급이 나가는 경우는 그렇게 많지 않은 편이죠.

우리나라도 미국에 파견된 국방무관이 장성이죠. 이전에는 '소장' 급이 나갔었는데

요즘은 '준장' 급이 나가고 있다능 .... 미국 외 국가들의 국방무관들은 대개 영관급

들인데 반하여 ....
