Engine mystery unsolved as Eurocopter Tigers take to the air again after two-month grounding

Investigation fails to identify cause but Eurocopter confident helicopter not at fault
France and Germany have returned their Eurocopter Tiger attack helicopters to the air following
a two-month grounding in the wake of a mystery engine incident involving a French aircraft.

**원인불명의 사고로 2개월간 비행정지가 되었던 타이거 공격헬기가 정상
운용에 들어갔다고... 원인은 밝히지를 못하였다고하며, 2달전 프랑스군
기체에서 발생하여, 프랑스/독일 전군의 기체가 2달간 정지 먹었다고...
그러나 앞으로는 문제없을 것이라고...

The operational fleet of 24 Tigers was grounded in late November after "an incident occurred on
29 November with one of the French Tigers in Cannet-des-Maures in the south-east of France,
when the pilot encountered a problem regulating turbine power when landing", says the
manufacturer.

**작년 11/29일 프랑스군 타이거헬기에서 발생, 11월말에 운용중인 24대 모두가
비행정지. 조종사가 착륙시 터빈파워 제어에 문제가 있었다고 합니다.

"This was not a problem with the production of the aircraft, but while it was in operation. There
is no implication for the programme, but the decision to ground the fleet was taken by
Eurocopter more as a precautionary measure."

**이 문제는 생산과는 무관하며, 프로그램 전체에 영향도 없다고,
다만 안전조치로써 비행정지를 시킨 것이라고....

Eurocopter, however, could not identify the cause of the problem even after an extensive
investigation that spanned two months.

**유로콥터사는 2달간의 상세 검사를 하고도 문제의 원인을 파악치 못하였다고...

"We tried to recreate all the conditions of the incident, which involved simulations and in-depth
discussions with the pilot. Each time we attempted to recreate the incident, the aircraft
performed really well. We concluded that it was not the aircraft itself that caused the problem,"
says Eurocopter.

**문제 재현을 위해, 사고 상황의 조건을 파악하기위해 각종 simulation 과
상세한 논의를 조종사와 하였으며, 매번 문제 재현시도시 마다 기체가
정상작동을 하였다고.... 유로콥터사에서 문제의 원인이 기체가 아니라고
결론을 내렸다고 합니다.

Flights restarted in January in Germany and February in France.
