Project 885 Yasen nuclear submarine Severodvinsk launched the Zircon
rocket from under water for the first time , the Defense Ministry said .
The shooting was carried out from a depth of 40 meters in the waters of
the White Sea at a conditional target in the Barents Sea. The department
noted that the flight took place entirely along a given trajectory.
The maximum speed reaches about 2.65 kilometers per second at an
altitude of 20 kilometers, the maximum range is one thousand kilometers.
