한미 연합훈련 중이던 한국 특전사 7공수특전여단과 미육군 그린베레 1특전단 대원들이 응급상황이던 주민을 함께 구조했고
이 공으로 인해 표창을 받았다는 훈훈한 소식입니다.

Soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the Republic of Korea Special Forces receive recognition from the Republic of Korea Special Warfare for their lifesaving actions on April 25. The partnered special operations forces were taking part in training when a local Korean stopped them to assist a badly injured elderly farmer. Their emergency care saved the farmers life.

The Soldiers from 1st SFG (A) and the ROKSF were participating in partnered training when they were flagged down to render emergency medical care.


A Republic of Korea Special Warfare Command general presents citations to Soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) after his efforts resulting in saving the life of an elderly local Korean farmer April 25, in Yeongcheong, North Gyeongsang Province. The 1st SFG (A) Soldiers were training with their partners in the ROKSF when they stopped to render emergency care to an elderly farmer who had incurred life-threatening injuries when his tractor malfunctioned and caught on fire.


Soldiers from the Republic of Korea Special Forces douse the tractor and extinguish the fire which severely injured a local Korean farmer April 25. The ROKSF soldiers and Soldiers from 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) were participating in partnered training when they were flagged down to render real world emergency medical care, saving the elderly farmer’s life.


Soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the Republic of Korea Special Forces provide lifesaving emergency care to a Korean farmer, while training nearby on April 25. The partnered forces were traveling from one training location to another when a local flagged them down to treat the injured farmer, saving his life.

    가까운 오키나와 토리에서 건너온 미육군 1특전단 1대대원들인줄 알았더만 멀리 워싱턴주에서 날아온 1특전단 2대대원들인가 보네요...

    최근 랩터의 국내 모 기지 전개도 그렇고 미본토 주둔 특전대원들까지 국내에 전개중이니 북한과의 협상여부에 따라 바로...

    암튼 사고현장에선 한미 특전의무 주특기 대원들이 빛을 발했을 듯...

    미 특수부대원들은 일정수준의 부상 자가 처치능력을 교육받고 이수하며 메딕은 그 수준이 더 높다고 하던데 그 덕을 본건지

    여담이지만 카메라에 가장 근접한 미 특수부대원이 동양인이군요 ㅎㅎ
