러시아, 전투기용 광자레이더 시제품 테스트
정확히 뭔 말인지 모르겠지만 레이더가 항공기의 궤적을
buiding 했다고 하네요.
다음 작업으로 이미테이션 모델링 스탠드를 만들고
통합광자회로 제작과 함께 레이더의 하드웨어와
소프트웨어를 향상 시킬 거라 하구요.
광자레이더는 목표물을 스크린에 점이 아닌
구체적 이미지로 나타낸답니다.
아래 예전 기사는 공동개발사 KRET 부사장 인터뷰인데
광자레이더는 광결정에서 나오는 레이저를 극초단파로
변환시켜 레이더 신호를 얻으며 레이더파로 변환시키는
에너지 중 60~70%가 열로 손실 되는 기존 레이더와
달리 에너지 보존율이 60~70%라고 합니다.
그에 따라 탐지 범위가 그만큼 늘어나게 되는 거죠.
또, 광자레이더는 AESA 레이더 등과 달리 초광대역 방사파를
내보내서 전파교란 대항력이 뛰어나다네요.

The general director of the RTI group, Maxim Kuzyuk, said this in an interview with
TASS on Thursday in the framework of the Army-2019 forum.
"The prototype model and software work, there is a specific result. We conducted
experiments, and the radar is already building the trajectory of the aircraft," he said.
According to the CEO, now the specialists are faced with the task of creating an
imitation-modeling stand and improving the hardware and software of the locator,
including the creation of integrated photon circuits.
Radio photon locators have significant advantages in noise immunity and resistance
to electromagnetic radiation.
"The obvious advantages of photon radar stations are a significant increase in accuracy,
reliability, a decrease by several times in energy consumption and a decrease in the
size and weight of the antenna by dozens of times," said Kuzyuk.
Due to the use of photon technologies on the radar screen, the targets will not be
displayed in the form of points, but images. That is, the operator will see the real goal
- an airplane, a rocket, a drone or a meteorite.
KRET created an experimental sample of a photon radar for a sixth generation fighter

The first deputy director general Mikheev noted that "now a full-scale mock-up of this
radio-optical photonic antenna array is being created within the framework of scientific
research that will allow us to fulfill the characteristics of a serial model."
KRET also develops technologies of specific elements of the new radar - its emitter,
photonic crystal, receiver path, resonators.
As explained by Mikheev, in a conventional radar , the radiation is generated by
electrovacuum or semiconductor devices, their efficiency is relatively low - 30-40%.
The remaining 60-70% of the energy is converted into heat.
"In the new radar, the radar signal is obtained by converting the energy of a coherent
laser into microwave radiation by a photonic crystal. Such a transmitter will have an
efficiency of at least 60-70%, that is, most of the laser energy will be converted to radar"
he said.
On the photonic transmitter it will also be possible to obtain ultra-wideband radiation,
which is physically impossible on a conventional radar.
The new radar due to its ultra-wideband and huge dynamic range of the receiver will
have great opportunities to protect against interference.

- 몇년 전에 나왔던 소식이나 지금 소식이나 내용상으로 별로 발전도 없는 것 같은데 러시아 애들 얘기는 일단 아 그래 이 정도까지만 생각하는게 속이 편합니다.

- 레이다 안테나와 신호발생기 및 신호수신기 사이를 레이저로 연결한다는 뜻 같습니다.
레이다 자체는 RF로 나가는 거죠.

- 그니까 결론은 전파 대신 빛에 파장을 줘서 쓴다는건데 재밍에 우수한게 문제가 아니라 역으로 자신의 위치를 숨길수 없다는게 문제 아닐까요.. 광학장비로 보면 별처럼 빤착일겁니다. 너도 보고 나도보면 그게 무슨의미 인가요.. 은밀성을 중시하는 용도로는 못쓸거고 일부 방공레이더 대용이나 사통레이더로만 쓸수 있을거 같네요

- 저도 이 분야에서는 문외한입니다만, 찬찬히 읽어보니 앞뒤가 잘 맞아들어가질 않습니다.
러시아에서 개발하고있다는 레이더는 레이더 자체는 크게 다른 것이 아닙니다. 현재쓰는 레이더와 같은 전파를 배출하는 레이더로 광자와는 상관이 없습니다.
다만, 다른 점은 전파 발생기라고 하는 transmitter의 원리가 다릅니다. 현재 쓰이는 레이더의 경우에는 piezoelectric material에 전력을 공급하여 레이더 전파를 생성합니다.
위에 언급된 레이더의 경우엔 piezoelectric material같은 것에 레이저를 쏴서 레이더 전파를 생성하겠다는 원리입니다. 이럴 경우, 같은 레이더 전파면 효율면에서는 뛰어나겠지요. 하지만 문제점이 있습니다. 레이져를 어떻게 생성하는가입니다. 현재까지의 기술로는 레이져 생성 효율이 공급 전력대비 20~30%가 최대입니다. 즉, 0.3*0.7=0.21. 공급되는 전력대비 21%정도의 레이더 전파를 생성하므로 효율측면에선 더떨어집니다.
또한, 현재 AESA나 휴대전화에 쓰이는 TR 모듈의 경우, 상다히 소형화되었고 각각의 모듈이 다른 주파수를 생성하는 것이 가능하여 F-22같이 스텔스 모드로 쓸 수있지만, 레이져 생성기 자체가 상당히 크기때문에 모듈화해서 AESA같은 레이더를 만들지 못하고 PESA같이 하나의 transmitter와 여러개의 phase shifters가 달릴 수밖에 없습니다. 즉, 빠른 주파수 변조가 가능하지만 여러 주파수를 동시에 이용하는 AESA보다는 떨어집니다.
P.S: 제 사견으론 위에 내용이 사실일 경우, 제대로된 고출력 AESA TR 모듈을 만들지못한 러시아가 발전된 형태의 PESA정도를 개발하는 것같습니다.

- 광자라고 하니까 별 희한한 것인 것 같지만, 알고 보면 우리 가시광선을 말하는 겁니다. 스텔스 기가 전파는 속일 수 있지만 가시 광선은 못 속이죠. 즉 우리 눈으로 보이는 것처럼 보는 가시광선을 스크린에 펼친다는 건데. 가만 생각해 보면 그냥 망원경과 그걸 찍는 필름인 것과 다름이 없는 거지요. 아주 먼거리를 전부 동시에 찍는다는 게 기술이겠지요.
