자유사진방에서 박대리님과 얘기하다가 몰랐던 레오파드 2A7 개발을 알게 되었고 네이버에서 검색결과

등등의 특징을 가진다는 설명을 블로그와 카페글을 통해 알게 되었습니다.

흑표야 미안하다.... 라고 생각을 하면서 2A6와 2A7의 사진을 비교하면서 보던중 포신에 길이가 차이가

없음을 알게되었습니다.

120mm X 60구경장 = 7200m

네이버 이미지 검색을 통해 수많은 2A6와 포신을 비교해 봤지만 차이를 느끼지 못하였습니다.

네이버 검색 통틀어 4장종류의 사진밖에 없다는 것과 게시물에 따라 약간씩 차이나는 제원들을 통해 과연 사실일까라는 의문을 품었고 여러방면으로 검색과 비교를 해본 결과 제 생각은 우리가 레오파드 2A7 를 과대

평가 하고 있다고 결론지었습니다.

◆ 근 거

먼저 구글을 통해 해외사이트에 leopard 2A7을 검색해봤습니다. 수십개의 사이트와 블로그를 돌아다니며

구글번역서비스와 번역기의 도움을 받아 확인한결과 위에 써있는  전열화학포, 하이브리드엔진, 자동장전

에 대한 어떠한 글도 찾지 못하였습니다.

구글을 이용하여 알아본 leopard 2A7 업그레이드 내역은

The Leopard tank has been in service with the Scandinavian forces in various variants since it was first introduced in the 1970s, and it continues to do so with the latest addition to the Leopard family: the Leopard 2A7. Although still designated as a Leopard 2, little besides its outside appearance is similar to the older versions. Integrating the latest in tank armour and weaponry together with a 2nd generation hybrid-electric tank engine, the Leopard 2A7 is basically a brand new tank fit for the modern battlefield.

The Leopard 2A7’s armour is a classified tougher variant of the titanium composite armour found on other armoured vehicles serving with the NADC. This new type of armour has been thoroughly tested, but the results have not yet been publicised. Strong but light-weight armour combined with its powerful hybrid electric engine gives the Leopard 2A7 a very good balance between protection and mobility.

The Leopard’s bite comes in the shape of the new L60 120mm smoothbore main gun. The L60 features an advanced automatic loading system, making it one of the fastest firing tanks in the world. Perhaps the most interesting about the L60 though, is that it is an Electrothermal-chemical (ECT) gun. An electrothermal-chemical gun uses a plasma cartridge to ignite and control the ammunition's propellant, using electrical energy as a catalyst to begin the process. ETC increases the performance of conventional solid propellants, reduces the effect of temperature on propellant expansion and allows for more advanced, higher density propellants to be used. ECT technology significantly enhances the 120mm rounds’ kinetic energy and penetrating power, while the tank doesn’t need extensive re-designing to fit a larger caliber gun and ammunition.
The tank’s secondary armament is two .50 cal. machine guns, one coaxial and one fitted on a 'Sentinel' remote controlled turret. The Sentinel turret, operated by the gunner or tank commander, gives the crew the ability to engage enemy infantry, light vehicles or helicopters from inside the tank. This is especially valuable in urban combat, where the top gunner would be exposed to fire from tall buildings.

The Leopard 2A7 is the NADC forces’ principal main battle tank. Many of the 2A7s in use by the NADC feature the PSO (Peace Support Operations) upgrade, with up-armoured side skirts, increased reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities and a bulldozer blade for clearing road blocks and barricades. This upgrade, first shown on a Leo 2A5 demonstrator in 2006, is specially adapted for urban warfare scenarios.

누가 쓴 글인지 몰라도 만약 저글이 해외에서 쓰였고 leopard 2A7 의 정확한 내용이라면 해외의 밀리터리

사이트에 게시될만도 한데 관계된 글을 한개도 찾지 못하였습니다. 우리나라엔 다 저글만 보고 그렇게 알고

있는데 말이죠. 신뢰성이 가지 않는 글입니다. 그리고 leopard 2A7를 설명하는 글에서 절대 위에 글에 쓰인

내용들을 확인할 수 없었습니다.

◆ 결 론

서론에서 말씀드렸듯이 레오파드 2A7은 신뢰성가지 않는 글 하나 때분에 과대평가 되어 있습니다. 그리고

레오파드 2A7는 레오파드 2A6 업그레이드된것이 아닌 레오파드 2A6 EX에서 업그레이드됐다는걸 알게 되었습니다. 전차 후면 엔진실쪽의 구조를 보고 판단하였습니다.

박대리님과 얘기 나누면서 레오파드 2A7의 얘기를 듣고 쪼금 흔들렸는데 그래도 아직까진 다행히 k2의 성능을

따라갈 물건은 없는거같아 기분이 좋았습니다.

물론 제 주장이 틀렸을 수도 있습니다. 하지만 이번 기회를 통해서 레오파드라는 전차에 대해서 많이 알게 

됐네요. 이외에도 설명하고 싶은게 많은데 글이 너무 길어지면 읽는거 짜증나니까 레오파드 2A7와 k2의 성능

비교는 다음번에 하겠습니다.
